High street retail group Macintosh, which was granted court protection from creditors just before Christmas, has now applied for bankruptcy. Macintosh operates the Scapino, Dolcis and Manfield shoe chains and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Britain. ‘The administrators, together with the relevant management boards, are now exploring all possible scenarios, including a sale of the Macintosh group as a whole or in parts,’ the company said in a statement.
